3rd National Culinary Championship "Golden Shah" Celebrates Heydar Aliyev’s Centenary

On May 18, the 3rd National Culinary Championship "Golden Shah" commenced as part of the "INTERFOOD 2023" International Food Industry Exhibition. This prestigious event, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the esteemed national leader Heydar Aliyev, is organized by the Association of Culinary Specialists of Azerbaijan, in collaboration with the State Tourism Agency, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the National Culinary Center of Azerbaijan, and "CEO Azerbaijan" LLC.

Spanning two days, the championship features over 100 participants competing in the categories of "Young Chef," "Senior Chef," and "Pastry Chef." The event aims to showcase and celebrate culinary excellence, with the top 100 participants being ranked upon the competition's conclusion.

The esteemed jury for this year's championship includes judges from the Union of World Culinary Societies ("Worldchefs"), representing Italy, Great Britain, Serbia, the USA, Croatia, Russia, Montenegro, and other nations.

Notably, this year marks the first time the "Golden Shah" National Culinary Championship is being held in Azerbaijan with official "Worldchefs" status. This designation allows the International Culinary Society to officially recognize the championship winners, validate the competition results, and certify the participating judges.

Additionally, the championship features seminars on various culinary topics conducted by "Worldchefs" for both judges and participants. Since its inception in 2019, the "Golden Shah" National Culinary Championship has provided Azerbaijani chefs with a platform to exhibit their skills and compete at an international level.
